Women's History: Now & Always

Last week’s SOLD OUT Reading
On March 15, Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre celebrated Women’s History Month with a staged reading of the classic play, A Bold Stroke for a Husband by Hannah Cowley.

Audiences raved:
“It’s so wonderful to see an 18th-century play withmore than one or two female characters, each with their own agency and unique perspective. ”
“In the 18th century, a woman playwright wrote a feminist clapback to Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew.(And it's so much funnier.)”
“I can’t believe I’ve never seen this show before.”
