October 22 Princess Amalie's The Uncle
In the long tradition of reading classic plays aloud, meet us over drinks or snacks, making friends and bold choices! 10 minutes before we start, folks who want to read a part are cast, from a starring role to stage directions, and chat about major moments of the play. Then, once we’re all gathered…. we dive in! Laugh, cringe, cry, gasp, and bond as we go on the roller coast rides that are these excellent titles. Come to play – or just watch and enjoy!

🎉WHO: You! 📖WHAT: Casual online reading of Princess Amalie's The Uncle💥WHEN: 2pm ET (log on 10 minutes before to be cast!) 🗽WHERE: Zoom (RSVP for the link!)
ROLES FOR THE UNCLE:
Anna von Stürmer – Intelligent, selfless, genuine. English heiress. Strategic, sometimes too generous with others. Madame von Stürmer – A nervous, anxious hypochondriac who cannot bear to be alone. Anna's step-mother – think Pride and Prejudice’s Mrs. Bennett. Henriette – A servant with a quick wit. Very socially attuned, looks out for herself. Catharine – A widow who visits Dr. Löwe in urgent need of care for her young son. Kind, tired, and aware of her station in life. A notary – Kind, reasonable, and generous; a peer of Dr. Löwe’s.
Baron Julius Löwenberg – Courting Anna, for both love and strategy. Proud, clever, and willing to make political if dubious choices. Dr. Löwe – A doctor in his late 30s, has felt loss and seen enough foolishness that he keeps to his work and keeps to himself. Strong integrity, quirky. Baron Riedler – Friend and advisor to Julius, a conniving orchestrator, enjoys creating his own fun. Martin – Longtime loyal friend and employee of Dr. Löwe’s. No nonsense attitude, dry sense of humor. Christian – A servant who... would rather not.
