A new program to reshape what (and who) we call the “classics”
Expand the Canon demands space in the classical catalogue for worthy plays by womxn. Parallel to The Kilroys List, we are collecting and publishing a list of worthy and producible plays written by womxn before 1945. Our online platform, made possible by funding from the Brooklyn Arts Council, will make the plays and information about them more accessible, removing the barriers for classical producing organizations to honor the legacy of womxn playwrights.
